The name InWorld·Online and the InWorld·Online globe identify the Platform. You are welcome to refer to us – and if you build something that works with the Platform, we would like people to be able to find it. These guidelines keep one thing clear: what comes from us, and what does not.
What you may do without asking
- Say what your product works with. “Works with InWorld·Online”, “for InWorld·Online” and “integrates with InWorld·Online” are fine, in a product name (“Acme Vendor for InWorld·Online”), a Marketplace listing, a notecard or a website.
- Write about us. Reviews, tutorials, guides, videos, blog posts and in-world talks may name InWorld·Online and show screenshots of the Platform.
- Link to us, using our name as the text of the link.
What we ask you not to do
- Suggest it is ours. Do not say or imply that we made, endorse, certify or support your product, unless we have agreed so in writing.
- Lead with our name. Your own name comes first: “Acme for InWorld·Online”, not “InWorld·Online Acme”. The same goes for groups, avatars, regions, Discord servers and domain names.
- Use our logo as yours. The globe is not to be used as, or in, your product’s icon, box or listing image, and not altered or imitated.
- Mislead or disparage. Do not use the name in a way that could confuse people about who they are dealing with, or that runs the Platform down.
Our logo
If you would like to show the globe – on a page listing compatible products, for example – ask us first and we will send you the files. We say yes to most reasonable requests.
A line you can use
Where it helps to be clear, this is enough:
Acme Vendor works with InWorld·Online, but is not made or endorsed by InWorld·Online.
